Chip-Trap TM coolant filter systems were designed to fit Haas vertical and horizontal machining centers (not Mini-Mill). On older machines, the unit fits in an opening in the coolant tank (metal pan removed) of approx. 13-1/4” x 18”. On newer machines it sits on top of the factory screened tray in back of the machine. Chip-Trap TM filters: Our filters take care of the dirty work. Unlike screens, or mesh filters - which quickly become clogged and allow flooding of coolant onto the floor - Chip-Trap TM filters are designed to trap the chips, which embed throughout the thickness of the filter. This equates to a greater filter surface area, which allows longer runs between filter changes.
